Brekkan is a detached, spacious cottage situated on the West Mainland of Orkney.
The cottage benefits from panoramic views over farmland and the sea, and is close to the Lochs of Swannay, Hundland, Boardhouse and Harray.
Brekkan has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. An additional fold down bed is available on request. The kitchen /diner is well equipped and the utility room doubles as a drying room. The comfortable lounge enjoys views across farmland to Swannay Loch. The enclosed garden is grassed all round and has a bench and picnic table. There is ample parking space and a shed to store bicycles etc.
Brekkan is ideally suited for a holiday in Orkney, being close to the Brough of Birsay, Kirbuster Museum and Hundland Gallery. It is just a short drive to the historic sites of Skara brae, The Ring of Brodgar, Broch of Gurness and Maeshowe. The village of Palace and the ruins of the Earls Palace and the Birsay Tea Rooms are only three miles away.
The village of Dounby is six miles away, where there is a well stocked Co-op store and fuel can be purchased here. Mistra stores in Evie is a well stocked shop and has a Post Office. There is also a shop and Post Office in the village of Palace.
